BG should be a very good team in the MAC, not denying that. My pick, like I said was a homer pick. OU should be faster than they were last year and will be very young. We've had 2 good recruiting classes by MAC standards the last couple years. OU could sneak up on some people. We get Central, BG and Buffalo at home (yes Buffalo should be decent this year.) I don't see OU finishing last in the MAC East...don't be surprised if they knock off Central and finish above .500 in the MAC. I don't see anyone keeping Central from winning the conference though.
Going into the season BG looks like the MAC East favorite...but lets not forget OU was the MAC East favorite last season...

MAC CONFERENCE
- Don't get me wrong and i'm not just saying this as an alum. But BG is going to tear apart the MAC this year. OU wont even get out of the cellar unless they have one or two big games this season.
Championship of this conference will be hands down a great game. Central vs. BG w/ both teams going either undefeated or losing only one conference game this year. Look for BG to come out on top. I'll put money that OU finishes below BG this year.....

Forgot the SEC...don't know how I did that considering it's the greatest conference of all time and college football will soon end because the SEC is too dominant...

Fantasy Draft In The Books
For those of us that can work the internet we had the fantasy football draft for the Armchair Icons last night, the events took an unexpected turn when I apparently became delusional and drafted two Steelers players and their defense.....wait....
Ok I'm back...had to vomit again. That sentence and thought has not sat well with me the last 12 plus hours.
Topics from the world of sports today:
MLB adds replay = For HR's and Foul Balls it just makes too much sense, this took way too long to happen. I agree, keep replay away from balls and strikes and plays at the bases, but to determine whether or not a ball hit a line when a ball is moving 80+ MPH should be a no brainer.
Redeem Team = I hate the name, but am very glad they won. It just didn't feel right to not to have the best basketball team in the world. If you haven't seen the full clip of the NIKE commercial with Marvin Gaye here it is. It's very cool I suggest watching.
LPGA to require English = This is just funny. How is it legal to require this?
Strahan = Doesn't have to go through camp and would collect probably around $8 mil for one season. Not bad work if you can get it.
MLB Stretch Run = Yanks and Sox this week. If the Yanks can sweep then they're back in the discussion, if the Sox take two or more then the Yankess are done. The Indians are approaching .500, that has to be some sort of consilation. The AL Central race is pretty tight the Twins and Chi Sox fightin hard. AJ Pierzinski (don't care how it's spelled) playing the role of little bitch again but causing some interference in the base path. The Mets and Phils, it's probably a good thing that Cote quit following the Mets b/c I'm sure he'd just be destroyed to see the Mets get caught from behind AGAIN. Zona is starting to pull away and with three stud pitchers it may be over. And as has been the case the last few seasons, the Reds suck.
