Monday Rant

Good afternoon gentlemen (and I use the term loosely). Nice weekend for football, at least in my house it was. I did in fact root for the Buckeyes this weekend as I hate USC more than my ex wife; oh wait, I dont have one of those, anyway; but all in all USC showed why they are the best team in college football and maybe the NFC South. Speed, speed and more speed. On both sides of the ball they are big, fast and athletic. I am not looking forward to the last game of the year when they beat us by 100 points. Anyway, good weekend for football but some other points as well.

Auburn-Mississippi State: 3-2?? Are you kidding me? 3-2?? What the hell was this, the NL Central?? Auburn is to loaded to only score 3 points. Look for a big outburst this week, but they do have LSU looming

The SEC: 5 teams in the top 10 this week, they are a bad man!! The Georgia-USC game was even a great matchup and a fumble at the goal line made the 'Cocks go limp!!

BYU- Look out now, the other "U" is looking like the Hawaii of 2008!! They'll win 10 or eleven games, go to a major bowl, only to be blown out by Georgia or Alabama.

Chase Daniel: This guy is a stud. 23 of 28 for 405 and 4tds?!?!?! Are you serious? Do that vs Oklahoma and I will be impressed even more.

Da Browns: Well, it appears DA is a dud and Crennel is a douche. I mean kicking a FG with under 4 mins to go down 7??? Edwards cant catch a cold, Cribbs has come back to earth and Lewis cant find his way thru a hole. Now Smith is out with an Achilles tendon tear and the defense is again a little weaker, meaning being 2 games back of the Steelers after only 2 games is making for a long long year.

Pryor vs Boekman: Uhh Pryor looked real good, Todd not so much. Go with the youngster. He was talking trash, running like a young Randal Cunningham, fired the troops up and he doesnt have happy feet. I think Todd's career will be forever labeled that he never won the biggest games he played in. But at least he has Michigan!! I like Pryor. I think he has all the tools to be a very very dominating player. Especially in the Big 10 (11).


Notre Dame: Ahh the Irish!! Hey good teams take advantage of turnovers, and we did. We need to work on the running game, but I like our WRs and their speed. But when a 5-7 175 pound white running back goes for 165 on you, Javon Ringer coming off 282 yards must be licking his chops! We need to be better vs. The Run and adjust when we blitz. But a win is a win is a win. 2-0 looks better than 0-2 any day of the week. I am happy.

Anyway, congrats to ZG and Maggotface for getting to the championship of the Yahoo Fantasy Baseball league. #1 vs #2 in a middleweight prize fight for all the marbles. With the winner getting, well, nothing. Its been a long year and your hard work will get you the big prize, a big fat glass of absolutely nothing. I love sports!
